Assigning a start and end date to issues

I want to be able to track issues based on when they were assigned and check progress via time line reporting. Any ideas??

Did you want to find issues and order them by WHEN they we assigned to resource(s)?

Or by age of an issue (this is already available as a viewable column in the Issues Grid)?

Jeff,

When you say you want to track it, does that mean you only want to see issues that are assigned? 

Not sure how you use this as a "view" over your data and what you are trying to accomplish. Any more info would be greatly appreciated so we can suggest an appropriate solution.
