Hi,

I want to send email to users of my web application who add issues to gemini project via my application as when there is any update for their issue. Can this be done using the scheduler plugin, if not is there any
other way to do this? Please suggest.

Yes this is possible. Administration > Global Settings / Notifications.

Further, you can also select specific recipients for Issues from a particular project by clicking on the 'Email Alerts'  link ( top right hand corner) on the Project Home Page.
