Changing Status and Resolution in Visual Studio Add-in

I cannot change the status or resolution fields in the Visual Studio add-in - when I open the view issue window and click "Edit Issue" the 2 fields disappear.  I thought this may be to do with the security scheme, but logged in as the same user I can change both fields using browser based access.  Is this by design, or am I missing something.  If its by design, why?

Which version of the Gemini web app are  you using? Please check the Field  Visibility Scheme to determine whether you have permissions to view 'Status' and 'Resolution'.

Also, how are you able to update these fields in web app-

1. Inline edit (top right area in view issues)
2. Click 'Update' while viewing issue
3. Click 'Edit' in view issue to open the edit page (bottom right area in view issues)

It was the field visibility scheme that was hiding those fields when I entered edit mode.  Thanks for your help.
