Can't register using windows authentication in 3.5

web-app

Hi,

We're just in the process of setting up Gemini and after downloading the latest version (3.5) and enabling windows authentication I can't register new users.

1) I set "Windows" as the authentication mode in the web config 2) I opened a fresh browser, cleared cookies/cache, etc etc 3) I get the login entry form, I enter credentials which I assume validate?? 4) I get the registration page if the user doesn't exist 5) When trying to submit it warns me that the username is compulsary - however the field is empty and disabled.

I can create the user manually from the admin screens and login fine. I also can't login without using real username/passwords so the authentication part works - It just looks like it's not copying the username into the registration box.

I also noticed the password fields are active - surely if we're using windows authentication those fields are redundant and should be disabled along with the username?

Many thanks, Chris

Please make sure that you have disabled anonymous access from the directory seecurity tab of Gemini in IIS.

Yep cool, My bad. Worked like a treat.

In regards to my other question; How come users still have to enter a password even though it's not used? It's a little confusing I think.

Thanks for the fast reply!

Cheers, Chris
