Global Custom Field

How do i enable that my custom field is global?

I was expecting it to be global when I haven't selected any projects in the list but aparently it isn't, I got the feeling I missed something in the manual but I just can't find it.

Please make sure that you make it visibile in the field visibility scheme(s).

It is enabled in my scheme I'm using in that project (with the given types).

The only way to get it visible in my project is to select the project in the "Projects" list on the "Custom Field"

Sorry, misread your first post. Select all projects in the custom definition page. Ctrl + Click to multi-select

So it's not possible to make it global visible without editing the custom field? (aka when I create a new project that needs the field as well I'll have to go in and check it off as well)
