Move a Gemini v2.0 installation from SQL2000 to SQL2005

web-app

Hi

Our server farm is changing from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005. We have now running a Gemini 2.0 installation and we are happy with there features.
Now we tried at the 2000 server to export the db and import the db at the sql 2005 server.
But the stored procedure are not copied to the sql 2005?!?!

We got now an error like this:
Could not find stored procedure 'gemini_getuserid'

Some questions:
1. is it possible to run a Gemini 2.0 db on  sql 2005
2. is it possible to get a Gemini 2.0 db installation script
3. in the case of an migration to 3.1.1, should the migration done on the sql 2000 server, and then moved to the sql ?

Thx for help

You need to backup and restore the database not export / import.

Gemini 2.0 can run on SQL 2005, you can download it here: http://countersoft.com/downloads/csfiles/old/Geminiv20_5.zip

You should migrate on the box that is running Gemini. ie. If you managed to move 2.0 to 2005 then migrate that one.

Thanks for help.
After the import it does work, nearly ;-)
As first we had a problem with the db user, login user and schema. But we have solved this problem.

Now we have another problem. The windows authentication does not work at the client side.
when i login as admin, all user are listed in the user table are correct (DOMAIN\username)
but the login with IE6/7 does not work automatically and also not when i enter the user name and the password?
I'm sure i have overlook a fault.

Can anybody help
thx

Did you change the web app at all during this migration?

Did you update the web.config to use win auth? Did you configure IIS to use win auth only?
