New issue notifications- subject always 'updated'

web-app

3.1.0 build 2179 / scheduler to send notifications

I'm having a problem with new issue notifications. The subject line of the email is always 'Updated' and never 'Created'

I've searched the forums, but can't seem to find anything. I'm hoping this is just a config issue, and not a bug.

Cheers

Mat

Small update - only appears to happen if you assign a resource when creating a new issue. If you create an issue without assigning the resource, the notification subject is 'Created'

Are you using the scheduler service?

If so, then it takes the last action and sends notification on that.

This is a new issue creation not an update, so I'd expect to only receieve an email with the subject 'Created'.

Why does it only happen when assigning a resource to a new issue, it doesn't happen if other attributes are set at creation.

Cheers

This is because the way Gemini and the alerts API work.

Basically, the scheduler will send batch of changes. So if you create an issue and update it later it will be sent as 1 alert (updated). Now when you create an issue and assign a resource to the issue it will create 2 alerts, 1 created and 1 assigned, making it an update.
