Security Settings

web-app

Why is the setting for adding/editing a component so HIGH in Gemini?  I had to add a database report writer to the ADMINISTRATORS group just so he could add his task to the right flippin' component, and he STILL can't see it under Edit Task?

What gives?

I think the security settings are a little whacked.

That should not be the case. All users who can create issues should see all components.

Are you sure he is looking at the right project?

While it shouldn't be the case, it is.  yes, he's in the right project.  he's been made an admin of the project, has all the same rights/views I do, except when viewing an issue.  Where I have the full right-hand column his only has a few fields, and when I click on Edit, I have all the capabilities, where he only has a few.

Is there an instruction file somewhere that shows explicity how to set up security schemes and project groups, etc., in Gemini?  Honestly, the help file lacks in a lot of detail (like the new Project Labels...there's no text about it anywhere in the new 3.1 "help" file) and it would be great to maybe have available, and complete, documentation on tasks available in Gemini.

Just trying to weed through all this.

I suspect that he has been made an admin to a scheme that does not apply to the project in question.
