Sorting priorityfield does not work correctly

In version 2.2.6 I added a new priority and gave it the right sortorder (somewhere in the middle). But when I tried to sort e.g. My Work the new priority was sorted as highest. In version 3.0.4 the same problem exists. In the priority scheme the priority is placed correctly (in the middle).

Is this a bug?

This is done by adding the priority sequence field to the list.
