Evaluating Gemini Desktop, Screen Capture, TimeTracker and having problems...

web-app

I've got a complimentary evaluation license and running into issues connecting with the desktop client, screen capture, time tracker, pop access.  The Gemini web application works fine.  Is this because I only have an evaluation license?  If so, is it possible for me to evaluate the rest of the features before I decide to purchase?

The eval license gives you full access to all apps.

Do you have Microsofts WSE 3.0 installed on the webserver?

I first tried 3.0 then I read in a post that 3.0 doesn't work, so I tried with 2.0 sp3 and it still didn't work.  I'm upgrading to 3.0 right now....

I'm running Windows 2000 Server.

Still doesn't seem to be working even with 3.0 installed.

Note that sometimes you have to reboot the web server after WSE 3.0 install.

try running the desktop with the -dc option from the command line. It should report the actual error.

Thank You.  The desktop and TimeTracker both work now.

I have 2 remaining issues:

1 - The Screen Capture is installed, but I'm not able to send my screenshots to Gemini.  I get a login failed error.

2 - How do I configure the web service to monitor a mailbox?

  1. Seems very odd, if you can work with the desktop app then you should have no problems with the screen capture app. Can you please try and run it with the -d option?
  2. You need to install the SchedukerService (http://www.countersoft.com/Downloads/CounterSoftGeminiSchedulerv17_1.exe) and configure it to listen to a mailbox (that section will be XML commented out in the config file).
