how to manage Project Versions
The short question/issue is: the Project Admin->Versions page needs some work, or else I'm missing it and could use a pointer...
We have been using Gemini for over a year or so now for our very active web development efforts. We have a pretty sold "process" around dev/test/release. Every set of fixes, new features, etc. is tracked in Gemini. And every release is given a version (we set the "Fixed in Version" field for every issue).
The problem is, we now have well over 100 "Versions" for our project. If you go the Project Admin->Versions page, it's just one VERY long scrolling page! It doesn't seem to matter if I mark the version as released and/or archived. It just stays on that page.
What's worse, is if I click on a version at the bottom of the list to Edit, the edit box is at the veryt top of the page, and the focus isn't set, so you have to do some serious jumping around!
I like having my versions show up on the RoadMap until I mark them as Released. Then they go to the Change Log page. Obivously, that Change Log page is also growing and becoming unusable.
Can you add some filters to those pages so one could control what is displayed?
On the Versions admin page, a drop down or checkbox or something that shows Released (only), Archived (only) or All? And something similar on the change log page? And/or an option to filter based on date range?
I guess the good news, we have been using a Gemini for a long time. The bad news is that it seems to need some work from that point of view...
