Gemini 3.0.4 - User Administration - Display of permissions and selected groups

We upgraded our Gemini Version from 2.2 -> 3.0.4.

When I open the "Edit User" Page the List of Permissions and Selected Groups are very long. It seams to my that the groups and permission are taken from the projects.

Is that normal or is there something wrong converted in the new database.

This can happen.

Recommendation: wipe out all permissions you have and start again by setting up appropriate User Groups and Security Scheme.

Understandibly this will create more work but it will help you setup the security up the right way now.

Thank you for the quick response.

With gemini 2.2.7 we practiced the folling way:

Open Administration -> User Access -> Select Project -> Select Security Scheme -> Assign Users to the Security Scheme of the Project.

I defined 4 Security Schemes: No Access, Project Admin, Project Leader, Project Worker

The workers are more or less all users execpt the Project Leader.

The Project Leader differs to each project.

 

How can I implement this with the new version of gemini?

Use Global Groups for users/workers.

Use Project Groups for Project Leads (so you can change this easily per project).
