Issue detail - deselect everything in list

Is there a way you can undo the selection in a list like "Affected version" or "Resources" on the issue detail page. Of course you can select something else, but can you select nothing ?

We have the same problem with not mandatory custom fields.

Hold down CTRL and click on item you want to de-select?
