localhost in URL instead of server name

web-app

Some url's refer to localhost instead of the real server name, resulting in page or picture not found errors.

For example in an issue list (like My Work) the icons are not loaded, when I look at the called url it says for example: http://localhost/Gemini/images/Type_Requirement.png

Other pages do load their icons properly for example on the project overview page all icons are displayed.

We have a simular problem with for example the logout button often - not always - it results in an localhost url.

Aha ! I just found out that the problems have started since I changed the security setting Show All Projects to "No". I switched it back to "Yes" and the icons reappeared ! And the logout button works !

Known issue ?

Check your FullGeminiURL setting is correct. If it is then set the enforce URL to yes.

Yep, setting Enforce Gemini URL to Yes solved the problem !

Thanks.

Bizarre.  I just ran into the same problem.  After months of working perfectly fine, Gemini reverted to using 'localhost' for some images and some links.  Even after clearing the cache in IE.  Checking the 'enforce' box fixed the problem, but I'm confused as to why it appeared like that.

The only thing different that I know of is that I installed the Gemini Scheduler service on Thursday, and this problem was first noticed Friday.  I can't find a project visibility option (mentioned in this thread), but as far as I know no one else changed anything in Gemini's settings.

It might have been caused because of OS KB or SP install that has changed the security settings of the server.

I have the same problem. I have not changed configuration of the server lately - OS KB or SP, but problem exists. If some security settings on the server are the issue, please point them out so I could set the server properly. If i would like to buy two licences of Gemini pointing to one database, one for intranet (domain) user, the other for internet (forms authentication) users, then setting 'Enforce Gemini URL' to 'Yes' is not an option since this setting is saved in database, not per web application instance.
Please do some invastigation and find the real cause of the 'localhost problem'. For my purposes 'Enforce Gemini URL' workaround does not work.

Can you please confirm that the URL is changed to "localhost" or is it the other public URL?
We think we may have found the root cause of this but would like to confim this.

Hey Guys,

I've got the same problem!

Where do I find the "setting Enforce Gemini URL" setting?

Many thanks
