RAD editor extremely slow to load, possible to revert to previous editor?

Hi all,

We just upgraded our Gemini to 2.2 and the RAD editor takes forever to load on any page it is enabled for, our gemini is almost unusable now. Is there a fix to do any of the following?
1) speed it up
2) revert to the previous editor
3) turn it off and just have a plain textfield

You can change the editor via the administration menu of Gemini (issue settings).
