Popup Windows in IE8 not opening

Has anyone else had issues with edit popup windows not opening? When I click a button that I think should open one, the screen briefly shows the grayed out background, then just opens the page in the existing browser window. (A page where this happens is: gemini/Issue/Windows/IssuePopup.aspx?id=925&todo=display&writingid=2&KeepThis=true&TBiframe=true&width=770&height=500) After this happens I'm kind of stuck in this window and have to hit the back button a couple times to get back to the original screen, then F5 to refresh it.

I do not have this problem with Firefox, just IE 8 on Win 7 64bit.

We have the same setup here and all is fine. Did you try clearing IE cache?

More Info:

It does work when switching compatibility mode ON.

I get a javascript error when clicking on the popup. My script debugger highlighted the following code:

n.style.setExpression(p.toLowerCase(),"(_=(document.documentElement.scroll"+p+" || document.body.scroll"+p+"))+'px'")

And the error it gave me was was: "Not implemented"

Is there anywhere on your public site where there is a popup I can click on to test?

Yes, http://gemini.countersoft.com, hover over "create issue" and click on the "Create Issue" menu item.

Same problem on your site as well. When clicking on Create Issue I get a javascript error and then redirected to this page in the main browser window. http://gemini.countersoft.com/Issue/Windows/IssuePopup.aspx?todo=display&writingid=2&KeepThis=true&TBiframe=true&width=770&height=500

Turning Compatibility Mode on makes it work. I'm running IE 8.0.7600.16385.

We have exactly the same IE version and it works for us (both with or without compatibility).
Is it possible to email your internet options settings for IE to support at countersoft dot com?
