Hi,

Can you be a little more descriptive?

In Gemini go to Adminstration --> SMTP Configuration and enable Verbose Logging.
Ensure that the Scheduler is set as default engine via Administration --> Notifications.

Restart the service.

What messages are recorded in the Windows Event Viewer?

the service its auto, but doesnt start

when i try to start it, the next message appears

The service CounterSoft Gemini Scheduler Service began in local Equipment and later it stopped. Some services stop automatically if they do not have anything to do, for example, the service Alert and registries of yield.   What can i do???

Alejo,

As suggested we can remotely log into your box and check out what is happening.

Please send me personal message so we can get to the bottom of this problem!

Cheers.

Hi, I have a similar problem.

Here the verbose Logging output:

System.Web.Services - System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Security.SecurityException: You do not have the privileges to access this web method

at Gemini.Scheduler.GetGeminiConfiguration()

The Zone of the assembly that failed was:

MyComputer

--- End of inner exception stack trace --- - at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall)

at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters)

at SchedulerServices.GetGeminiConfiguration()

at CounterSoft.Gemini.Scheduler.SchedulerService.GetGlobalApplicationSettings()

This looks as if the username/password combination you provided at install time doesn't have enough user rights in Gemini (e.g. to delete issues).

Try specifying Gemini Admin credentials in the file:

"C:\Program Files\CounterSoft\Gemini Scheduler Service\CounterSoft.Gemini.Scheduler.exe.config".

Can you double check?

All,

I remote desktop into Alejo machine and found a bunch of "error" logged into Event Log ("socket connection has been aborted by local machine").

Alejo, please post full error stack trace here so we can approach AfterLogic (Mailbee.NET component makers) for any insight into this SMTP issue?

Hi HarveyKandola

Yes this was an security issue. I marked the webservice user as an "gemini-administrator" and now it runs.

Thanks
Voeni
