Upgrade Problems

web-app

Hello,

I just upgraded our Gemini environment from v2.0.2 to v2.1.1 and I can't get the upgrade to work, no matter how I try it.  I used the CounterSoft2.1.1.exe install and selected upgrade DB and I get through the upgrade without any DB script errors, but I can't get the authentication method to work.

Below is the exception details…  Has anyone experienced this same problem?

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Could not find stored procedure 'gemini
authenticateuser'.

Thanks!

Eric

Seems to me like you are accessing the old Gemini (2.0.2), can you check?

Hi,

I'm not sure how else to access Gemini?  I preformed an in-place upgrade, and it looks like the upgrade populated the existing DB and the web.config was modified.  What should I look for?

Thanks,

Eric

What files have you got in the root of the Gemini virtual directory?

Everything from the previous version (v2.0.2) plus whatever was added during the upgrade (Build output\WebApp).

I realize the authentication method has changed with v2.1.1, and is now designed to use .NET 2.0 in some way.  What changed?  Why isn't the old stored procedure being used anymore?

Ok, I think you have two instances of Gemini running.

Check IIS for the correct name for Gemini 2.1.1.

OK, I uninstalled version 2.1.1 and preformed a manual upgrade by running the SQL scripts and adding the Web contents.  I am now finally able to login to Gemini 2.1.1, but now I am unable to create an Issue or perform any administrative tasks.  I am now receiving a compilation error:  See below...  Has anyone received this error before?

Delete the OLD rad dlls (the ones without the .NET2) from the bin directory.

Update:  Search didn't show me there was a reply.  I'll try what you've put here.

I'm having the same trouble.
