If you go to administration and SMTP Configuration there are lots of options there for email control. I think they used to be in the web.config file - this has been replaced by these settings here. It sounds like the server is incorrect here (or perhaps the port number) check through those settings and ensure they are correct.

OblivionSY,

Believe me when I tell you we've gone through all that, for configuration parameters there is no difference from the one running at the time. Although I've been going through the email log and states on the last part of the transaction:

"
...
[09:34:35.87] [INFO] Sender and recipients accepted by SMTP server. Will send message data now.
[09:34:35.87] [SEND] BDAT 411 LAST\r\n
[09:34:35.87] [SEND] [Data chunk of 411 bytes sent.]
[09:34:56.38] [INFO] Error: Socket connection has timed out. InnerException message follows: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
[09:34:56.40] [INFO] Will disconnect from host "192.168.0.10".
[09:34:56.40] [INFO] Disconnected from host "192.168.0.10".
"

The whole transaction until this part goes through fine. On the SMTP server log says:

BDAT - 250
QUIT - 240

So the older version of Gemini we have it is still running, so it's not the mail service. Everything points out to be the new version of Gemini.

PD: Thank you for your time.

can you please check you have no leading or trailing white space in the email server line, I think I had a problem with that. (might be worth checking all the fields)

was the 2.0.x version's settings in the web.config file? have you tried using IP in the server name field? have you got any firewalls running which could be blocking it?

Yes, thank you sir. I finally found what's the problem we are using enterprise symantec security suite on the machines, and it seems because Gemini runs under ASPNET user does not let me send smtp messages with that user. So after stoping the services I got it. So thanks for the idea.

Cheers
