Ordering Issues - manual order priority

Hi,

Whilst it is useful being able to order the list of the issues when you view the list, it would be even more useful if you could manually prioritise the issues.

A typical scenario would be that there developers are working on the issues in date (or some other) order, however a manager actually wants to manually control the order that items are developed.

OK, you can do this to a degree with the 'Prioritisation' field, however it doesn't provide issue by issue control.

Maybe start dates?

We will be adding sub-issues as part of 2.3 release which may go some way to address this.

How about adding a Custom Field "Manager"s Priority" while setting a project up ? We're using "Business Priority" with numeric values from {1,...,5 | 1,...,10}... As long as the number of issues is within the manual span of control, this might be a simple way to have project-specific rules of managing the work queue.
