Issue Filter on "My Work"

I think a very nice feature would be a filter like the Issue Filter on the "My Work" page where i could save my search filters for "My Work".

I have a lot of issues and it gets hard to manage them. LOL... that didn't come out right but you get my point.

Just a thought.

The reson for not having a filter on the "My Work" page is that you can use the current issues filter (as of 2.1, which is due out soon).

Select the assigned to and use the "all projects" issues.

I can understand that. I don't know what I was thinking.

 

This is although something that I noticed that would be handy on the My Work screen. In the customize columns page have the ability to show the custom columns like you can in the regular issue listing. I created a custom Drop Down Box that shows all my clients. This column shows up on the issues list although not on the My Work list. Am I missing something?

You will not be able to view custom field accross projects. That is why there are not in the "My Work" page.

This may be a silly question but then what is the prupose of the My Work page?

If we can't filter out closed issues, because we can just use the current issues filter, why have a My Work page at all?

Personally I like it because I can access it with one mouse click. Even with a saved custom filter it takes 2 clicks. Sounds picky I know but the easier the better. And I can set a favourite/bookmark to go directly to My Work or set it as my homepage, except its full of old issues. :(

Perhaps you could please explain further as I was about to post on this same issue when I saw this thread and another on the same topic.

Closed issues are not shown as part of "My Work". Do you see them there?

Yes I do see closed issues under "My Work"

There is also no longer a visual divider between projects under "My Work" as there used to be in older versions. It would be good to have that back.

Aha! No we did not have Closed set as Final. Thanks! No more Closed issues under "My Work" or "My Watched Issues"
