I'm confused....

What is the status of Gemini?

In the downloads section I see 2.2 as a stable release. However in the news section the last announcement was 2.2 beta. Then again I just noticed it had been released in the forums when I logged in.

If 2.2 is indeed stable (I notice around 290 bugs reported) is there any new releases to happen shortly "like 2.2.1 or 2.3). I don't want to install if a new version around the corner (esp if there are any serious stability problems).
