Supersize Database

web-app

I have a Gemini (2.2.6) installation that has been running for just over a year, and the busy beavers have logged almost 30,000 issues.

The server team had a look at the database however and it's 5Gb.  I know there are a good few issues but should it really be this big or is there something else causing the swelling?  The only think i can think of is there are a few custom fields but all the field sizes seem reasonable enough.

Comments much appreciated.

Check the number of attachments and the log file.

I had a look at the database.

The .mdf is 5515MB, the log is 24MB and the issueattachments table is 55MB.

The issuealerts table however is 5.1GB there are around 30,000 records in the table.

Any idea how i can fix this without breaking the system? (system uses the MailPlugin)

Thanks in advance

Truncate the issuealerts table, it is only used by the scheduler.
