Custom Field Types

It may be useful to have a 'date' and/or 'time' type of custom field, something similar to the JavaScript calender popups that you see on a lot of sites.

It would be useful (but possibly a little difficult to implement) if custom fields could be defined further depending on which component was affected?

Maybe not essential, but some things to throw in the bag?
