Issue statuses change to "New" when a user is deleted

I deleted several users from our Gemini system yesterday.  After doing so, I noticed that any items that were assigned to those deleted users at the time of deletion reverted to "New" status.  There were hundreds that changed.

Has anyone else seen such behavior?

Hi,

I've got this issue too on v1.9.1. After deleting a user, all their previous issues become "unassigned".

Is there a way to fix this painlessly (i.e. not going through each record and updating it)?

Also, not sure if it's related, but the "batch update" link (which I thought might help here) does nothing for us; takes me back to the "Project Selection" page.

You need to have the permission to batch update issues.

You can amend the gemini_deleteuser stored procedure to avoid setting the issues to "unassigned" when deleting a user.
