Gemini bouncing back and forth between default.aspx and main.aspx

web-app

Usually Gemini works well. We are now seeing an issue where we load up Gemini in IE and it bounces between default.aspx and main.aspx until the browser throws a DNS error. At this point we have to do an IISReset to get Gemini back to normal. The IIS error log looks like this:

I just upgraded from 2.02 to 2.03 and I'm having the exact same problem. I can't get Gemini to come up at all, it just keeps bouncing back and forth.

Here's how I upgraded:

I copied the new web directory, executed the create_procs.sql script, and added the IssueLinkQualifier to my old web.config.

Restarting IIS does nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You must use the NEW web.config file for 2.0.3.

Are you using NT authentication?

Only sometimes. We first saw it yesterday afternoon. The second time we saw it was this morning.

Can you check if there are any errors in the Gemini error log?

Ok, we think that this is the same issue as other people have come accross in 2.0.3.

We are due to release 2.0.4 that should fix this.

We will post a message in the announcments forum when it is released.
