Repository Error - Parameter count does not match Parameter Value count
Hi all
I've searched on the forum and found a few people having this problem, but haven't seen a conclusive solution (half the search results don't work).
I have a new install (not an upgrade), however I did run the scripts twice and ended up with dbo owned objects and gemini (the user account gemini is using) owned objects. I've deleted all the dbo owned objects.
We'd like to buy the product, but I can't get it signed off with the repository not working!
Thanks in advance
Ben

Not sure why your search didn't work: http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/648.aspx http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/1015.aspx http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/1802.aspx |

I've already read those posts, and there are a number of different possible solutions, most of which seem to be hacks. What there isn't is a response from CounterSoft saying these are the steps to follow and here's a script you need to run to fix it. It's clearly a problem with your software. I don't expect to have to hack around directly in database tables just to get a commercial product to work. The following search result gives this error, which is reproduceable - search for repository, you'll find that about half the results return this error: http://community.countersoft.com/Msgs/default.aspx?MessageID=6 Not Found: Forum Not Found The forum you requested does not exist. Hacks? If you read the posts, NONE of the solutions are hacks! Are you saying that the user gemini is using is the owner of all objects in the database? Is this a fresh install? Can you try and create a new project and see its repository?

Hi Saar Apologies for the tone of the previous post - had just got in and was frustrated that I was being pointed to posts that I'd already read, which didn't seem to solve my issues. One of the solutions was to manually enter values in the ProjectRepository table, which I would deem a hack, but I agree the others are not - my problem was identifying which is the correct approach to take, without trying all of them. I've now taken the approach of deleting the whole database and re-installing and it now works, so maybe I had missed one of the dbo-owned objects when deleting, or maybe it was something else, who knows? Thanks (in a conciliatory tone :-)) - we can buy it now! Ben |
