Suddenly can't create issues

I have a number of projects - 30.  Suddenly when creating new issues via Create Issue I get:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Gemini.CreateIssue.imgCreate_Click(Object sender, ImageClickEventArgs e)   04/05/2006 09:26:46

Not sure if I have too many projects, but nothing else has changed since it was creating issues ok, except that I was half way through a create and my session timed out, since then theres been this problem.  Any ideas anyone?

The number of projects is not an issue.

Did you try to restart IIS / web server?

What are the errors in the error log?

No Haven't restarted IIS.  I created another user with my same first name and second name and amended username.  I also amended my profile.  This seemed to do the trick, but when I deleted the dummy user the problem returned.  I've tried it again and am now working ok.
