Rad Editor
We have been using Gemini (v1.8.2) internally for quite some time. Gemini has been a great tool with a simple interface. Recently we have had the need to expose it to our external customers. We purchased the commercial license and decided to upgrade to the latest release (v2.0.5).
We had gotten used to the FreeTextBox control - it worked nice. Now we suddenly have this very busy and complex Rad Editor. Ok, so I have dug into the documentation and removed many of the Tool items. That helped, but the real problem is that it seems to be causing IE to crash.
See the following post at telerik:
http://www.telerik.com/asp-net-community/forums/forum-thread.aspx?b311D=etetd
And nevermind what MS claims - I am running IE 6 on XP sp2 and it crashes - frequently!
Also, there seems to be a problem with right-clicking. Sometimes the context menu just doesn't show up. Worse yet, it seems to have broke context menus in my browser.
An interesting point to note is it looks like I am typing this post into a FreeTextBox control - nice.
Bottom line: this Rad Editor just isn't working! Is there anyway to modify my Gemini installation to use the old FreeTextBox control?
If not, what about upgrading to the latest release of Rad Editor? Is that something that I can do? Or do I need to wait for a release from CounterSoft?
