2.2.2 to 3.1 migration question

web-app

Hi,

We currently use 2.2.2 and because of workload opted to "miss" 3.0 and go straight to 3.1 . We are now looking at the timeline to fit the upgrade in between major projects - so a couple of questions if you could hlep us

1. Will there be a "straight" upgrade path from 2.2.2 to 3.1 i.e scripts provided to do the migration

2. Can you let us know of any restrictions that may be in place with a 2.2.2 to 3.1 upgrade

3. Now the hard question - timeline - 3.1 is slated for late November - is this still going to happen  [:)]or is it possible for November to be Jan or Feb. Dont take this wrong - am just trying to work around our projects , and I know full well that stuff happens and timelines slip.

We are a happy Gemini user, and look froward to using a number of the new features in 3.0/3.1

thanks

Steve

3.1 BETA is due out by the end of November with a full release in mid December.  We are quite confident of making these deadlines.

The upgrade process will be as per every upgrade. Website is a complete reinstall with the database upgrdaed in stages. Note that the upgrade from 2.2.x to 3.0.x (or 3.1) is a major one as the security model has changed. So allow a couple of days to complete it.

You might need to purchase product subscription in order to upgrdae (if your license has expired).

Thanks Mark

Will schedule testing with the Beta early on , and plan for a late December production. This actually fits our schedule quite nicely.

We have a current subscription, so should not be an issue.

Cheers

Steve
