Making issue read only after created by users that are assigned role of Issue Creator

web-app

I would like to have my customers be able to add new issues into Gemini but not be able to edit them once they are being worked on.  This way the customer can not change the functionality without consulting the development team.

Currently the user can still edit the description box but the rest of the fields are locked out.

Is there a way to not allow them to edit the description field?

I am running version 2.0.1.

Thx

There is not way to do this out of the box.

However, you could write a hook that will fire everytime an issue is created by a customer user id and change that user id to someone else. So the customer can not edit the description anymore.

So I would consider this a bug then.  A user with only the issue creator role should not be able to edit the description after the issue has been set to in progress.  It seems like this should be one of the security options when creating a schema.   Is this something that is being worked on?  I did not see it in the queue.

Thx

Hi, I just converted to V3.0  version.

I has similar request.  I noticed that issue field is editable at any time. I thought "Edit Issue" option under the scheme would prevent users from editing the issue that they didn't enter.

Also, is there a setting to prevent issue being editable after the item is assigned or being worked on?

The editing of an issue is controlled by the security scheme that is associated with the user. If the user has the edit issue right in the scheme, they will be able to edit it.

There is no way to control the option at status level.
