US Date Format not working...

I specified the line in the web.config to use US dates - i.e.:

<add key="DateFormat" value="US" />

However, even with this line in there it still displays the date in European format - i.e. Aug 1 2006 displays as 01/08/2006 rather thatn 08/01/2006 in the issue detail screen.

Is there any way to force it to display US dates in all screens? Thanks in advance.

Never mind.... I just saw another thread about this and also changed my 'globalization' string to US - that worked and the dates now display properly.
