Links

Links are optional Reason Codes that you can use to describe the reason that two or more items in your Gemini system are related – for example “Duplicate” or “Causal” – rather than allowing users to specify linkage using non-standard text.

To set up your Links,  navigate to the Templates tab and the Links sub tab. You will see the following screen:

To Add a new Link reason code, click on the Add button. You will be prompted to provide:

  • Label – the descriptive label that will be shown against your Link reason code 
  • Comment – an optional description of the Link reason code

Click Save to create the Link code.

To maintain the Label or Comment value, click in the appropriate field and use Gemini’s inline editing to easily and instantly change the field value. To delete a Link code, click on the Delete delete icon icon to the right of the screen. You will be required to specify an alternative value that any items in the deleted code will be recoded to. This is to ensure that there are no orphaned records in your data, with Link codes that do not exist in the Template.
