The Documents page is where you go to upload project-specific documentation because each project in Gemini has its own documents folder.
To upload a document click on the Upload button and Gemini will present a window in which you can browse your filesystem to find the document(s) you wish to upload. Alternatively, you can simply select the documents you wish to upload and drag them onto the Document page. In this case, Gemini will display a drop zone. Drop your documents in that zone and Gemini will automatically upload them for you.
Documents are stored in the Gemini database as binary objects. This has the advantage of making them available to all users who have the appropriate permissions in Gemini regardless of the availability or the access rights of the filesystem. However, if you download and edit a document, or edit a document on the filesystem, you will need to re-upload the changed version in Gemini to reflect your changes.
To help add more context to your documents, Gemini provides the ability to hold additional descriptive text. To add descriptions, click the edit icon on the right hand side of the screen and type your description in.
AppNav cards that cover documents will show badge counts if any document in their scope is changed.
