ASP.NET 2.0 Membership, Roles & Profile

Hi,

Can you please explain the status/intention for full conformance with ASP 2.0 Membership, Roles & Profile providers and their use.

Specifically, we envisage using a seperate aspnet-db database to handle all authentication, role, membership and profile activities/data.

We will be integrating

  • Gemini
  • Dotnetnuke
  • Community Server
  • other...

ASP 2.0 applications based on the Enterprise Library building blocks from Microsoft.

The ability to share/integrate Membership, Roles & Profile information from Gemini to any other ASP.NET 2.0 application will take the great product you have to alltogether new limits.

I would definately be interested in this topic.  We have a few applications where I would like to have one user database for all apps.  I'm sure that many companies would like this enterprise feature.  Nowadays its too many login accounts to remember.
