Issue with email alerts

I have my email alerts configured to send me a notice with an issue is Created or Closed.  Those are the only two boxes checked on the project/ConfigAlerts.aspx page.

However, I get email alerts whenever a project is Updated, Commented, the Status Changes, or the Resolution changes.

Is this a bug in Gemini or is there some other area to configure email alerts that I am unaware of?  Is there some way to only get alerts for the issues I have reported only?

There are some settings in the web.config file that also determine whether you get emails: if you are resourced to an issue, then you may get an email notification when the issue in question is changed.
