Item creator can't view item

usage
items

I'm having an issue with visibility of created items. Whenever a task is created by a particular group of users, once created, the task is no longer visible to that group - including the user that created the task. I have gone over the user and group permissions and can't seem to find a cause for this. Any help would be appreciated.

··· Also - the users are able to view dependant tasks, but not the original parent tasks themselves.nwashWednesday, January 30, 2013, 9:33:50 PM

Please check the default visibility settings it might be that these users are not in the default visibility group.

In that case, make sure that they can view the item type that is being created. It might be that they cannot see any fields for that type.

All fields in Creating, Editing and Viewing screens for the item type are set to Everyone also.

Are you sure you are setting it in the correct template?

Yes I'm sure.

I may have partially figured it out. I am able to see the tasks in "new" state if I set the permission for that user group to "Can Only View Own Items" although once resources have been assigned it disappears. As the creator of the item in this scenario, shouldn't the item still be considered "mine"? The user role I'm working with, is a something of a project manager, so I need to be able to see the project throughout, regardless of who it is assigned to.

Also I need the ability for all 'project managers' to be able to see each others projects.

Yes, if you are the creator then you should see your items that is the idea behind it. If that is not the case can you double check if the reporter is set to your name?
