Does SourceSafe integration work with Gemini 5?

add-ons
source-control

Hi,

We currently have version v2.2.7 of Gemini and have the Source Safe integration working without issue.

However I cannot get it to work in Gemini 5.

The 2.2.7 registry file contains this and works fine using GeminiVSS.dll [HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\CounterSoft\Gemini] "GeminiURL"="http://GEMINIURL" "GeminiSCPageURL"="webservices/LinkSourceControlFile.aspx"

For version 5 I tried to add this line

"GeminiAPIKey"="XXXXXXX" but I get this error:

<

Gemini VSS - GI - AssociateFile 11

OK

From looking at another persons issue (with v3.7 a few years ago) they mention using a DLL called CounterSoft.Gemini.SourceControl.VSS but I cannot find this anywhere

Any suggestions (other than move to TFS!)

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your response.

While MS have dropped it, it is still in use.

Do you know if it might work if I get the DLL mentioned above -CounterSoft.Gemini.SourceControl.VSS?

No the DLL needs to be re-written to work with Gemini 5. Are you a developer?

Hi Mark, no I am not but I do work closely with a team of .net developers

You could ask them to create the plugin for you. We provide .net DLL to allow access to our API which is easy to use, soo all you have to do is "listen" to source safe check-ins.

Think might have to do that as really want to use gemini 5 but won't be moving off sourcesafe until next year I think.

Is this the correct link? http://www.geminiplatform.com/downloads/v5/CountersoftGeminiAPIv51_2.zip

Thanks for your help
