Create_Views.sql script errors during upgrade

I'm attempting to upgrade from 3.7.2 to 4.0.  When I run the createviews.sql script, I get errors about fields not found when creating the view geminiissuesview.  There are three fields not found:  geminiissues.isparent, geminiissues.hierarchykey, and geminiissues.repeated.  When I look in the table geminiissues, those fields are not there.   So how is this supposed to work?   Thanks.

Oops, sorry.  I skipped past an instruction and didn't run 'Upgrade_v4-0.sql script' first.  Perhaps you could put all the instructions in one bulleted list format?   Thanks.
