invalid gemini url? outlook add on

Trying to setup the outlook addon I always get the message 'invalid Gemini url?' I have checked the url and tried with both http and https. I always get the same result. Any ideas? thanks.

Are you running windows authentication? Also, please try navigating to http://your gemini url/api/users.ashx what do you get?

No, not running Windows Authentication. I just tried the getting to that page on our server and recieved a 500 - Internal server error. I've confirmed the page does exist.

Please make sure Gemini runs under asp.net 2.0 application pool

ANSWER

Our Gemini app pool was running under asp.net 2.0 but was configured for Classic mode rather than Integrated.

Switching to Integrated mode appears to have resolved the issues. Thanks.
