Why can't I change the administrator password

Post install I log in as administrator, go to users/administrator/edit, type a password into the blank password field and click save then I get a message saying there has been an error and this has been notified. If I log out and log in again the password change has not taken place. What am I doing wrong?

Just tried it myslef and works fine for me. Can you change the password when clicking on the "Profile" link (top right)?

Please check Gemini's system log for errors.

No. I can't see a Profile link. I'm also finding that the administrator login is timing out after about a minute. Also is there no way to change logo, skin etc? I'm evaluating the free Atlas version.
