Disabling "Work Estimate"...?

Is there a way to disable the "Work Estimate" section of new tickets? It is something we do not use, additionally the fact that if forces you to enter in a value for the hours is irritating. Users forget and then wonder when they "Submit" the ticket why "nothing happens"...not realize they left the field blank.

Yes, you can set default value for it in the Project Administration -> Default Values page. Once you have done so you can hide the field by changing the screen.
