upgrade from 2.1 -> 2.2 to 3.1, older project issues not displaying

web-app

  1. Upgraded the DB from 2.1 to 2.2
  2. Followed the migration guide and successfully installed 3.1

After this I can only see issues that were created in 2.1 for 1 out of approx 10 projects.  If I create a new issue in a project where I can't see any issues created in 2.1, these new issues do appear.  I checked the database and the table gemini_issues contains the same number of rows as the 2.1 database.

Although this seems like a permissions issue to me it doesn't make sense that if I create a new issue I can see it fine, but if I try to view older issues I can't see them.

Thanks,

justin

Update:

  • Restored to 2.1 and ran the upgrade again, this time running the upgrade_v3-0-step2.sql and did not touch any permissions.
  • Looks like all project issues were now visible.
I didn't have permissions on one of the projects to create an issue so I added myself to the "developers group and then assigned the "developers" group all permissions for the project's security scheme.

Now it is back to the same problem as before.  I can't see any existing open issues in some of the projects.

thanks,

-justin

Looks like this is being caused by the Security Scheme permission "Only view own issues".  Removing that allowed full view of issues.
