Is there a way to create seperate status sets for projects so that statuses created for Project 1 are not visible in Project 2?

The reason:
We have two departments who want to use the same Gemini implementation (so they can see each project and all issues from each other, and so as not to use two seperate urls for gemini).  However ever issues created for one department are going to have different statuses and the statuses with the same name will exist differently in the status flow.

Is this possible?

P.S. I imagine this question has been asked before so forgive me if it has.  But I could not find anything on the forums or the help.
