Scheduler 1.3 issues

web-app

I've installed gemini scheduler 1.3. The service is running, gemini 2.2 is set to run from the scheduler and I've switched on notifications for everything for the user (admin).

SMTP is set for a remote mailbox, I hit the Test button, it pauses for a while but I've got nothing to confirm the email has gone out or not (checked the system log).

I don't know if this is related but in the system log I get:

The value of the property 'type' cannot be parsed. The error is: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Web.Services3, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (D:\Data\websites\Test\22gemini\web.config line 176)

I notice other people have this in other posts, but I don't see a resolution.
Also is there any documentation on the scheduler service? Is there another log file somewhere?

Many thanks!

OK an update here... I've installed WSE 3.0. For fun I have rebooted the machine. I notice that the Gemini scheduler service is running.

I've configured SMTP (a little trial and error until I got rid of authentication messages in the system log). Now I have nothing being logged in the system log or the event viewer. So far so good.

Unfortunately I still have yet to receive a single test message.

I turned on SMTP verbose logging but this does not make any difference. Interval specified is 5 minutes. I've waited 30 mins now. I have my own dedicated mail server hosted by an ISP and I don't see any activity. I'm wondering if there is another log to show me what is going on (which logs every single notification message). Also please note I'm running Windows XP SP2 (it's a test installation).

Any thoughts?

Thanks....

It does work on WSE 3 right? I don't need to install WSE 2 with service pack? - Perplexed here! Cheers!

Installed WSE 2 with latest SP. Working. I'm going to start another thread about my conclusions. Sorry to spam the forum (please do not post here).
