What data do you wish to work on?

The Gemini MS Project connector takes its data from one or more AppNav cards based on the Gemini Grid view. Create and apply the filter criteria to these AppNav cards to define which data Gemini should synchronize with MS Project.

Obtaining the Connector

Amongst other integrations, Gemini has a FREE connector to Microsoft Project. To take advantage of this integration go to the Gemini Downloads page where you will find the downloadable installer for this and other free add-ons.

Please ensure that before you run one of our installers, you navigate to the file (zip or exe), right click, view its properties and make sure that if there is a button with “Unblock” in the General tab, you click it and then click OK or Apply. If you do not unblock executable files downloaded from the internet Windows restrictions may result in them failing to install correctly.

Configuring your Connection

Once you have installed the connector, when you first open Microsoft Project you will be prompted to provide the connection information to link MS Project to Gemini.

The following dialog will be displayed:

MS PRoject Connect Dialog

Name your connection and provide the URL to your Gemini instance.

Either provide a logon Username and Password or check the "”Windows Authentication” checkbox if you are using single sign-on/AD authentication.

If you are Proxy Server then you must also provide its details.

Locating Gemini in MS Project

Once the installer has run you will find that MS Project now has a “Gemini” tab.

MS Project Gemini Tab

If you do not get the connection dialog when you first open MS Project, or you wish to change/refresh your connection properties, then click on the Gemini icon, labelled “Connect” and the dialog will reappear.

Provide the authentication details needed to connect to your Gemini instance and the connection will be made.

Once you have connected to Gemini your drop-down list of card will be populated with all cards based on the Gemini Grid view. Select a card and the data from that card will be imported into MS Project. See below.

Make whatever changes you need in MS Project.  when you are done click on the Sync button in MS Project and your data will be synchronized in Gemini.
