Components

Regardless of type of project being managed with Gemini you can usually break down a project into smaller, well-defined areas. These areas can represent either logical or physical parts of a project and are termed Components in Gemini speak.

Components can be defined and organized in a nested, hierarchical fashion in order to provide a visual clue as the relationship between components. Consider the following:

We can glean that there are essentially five areas within the project: API, Database, Middleware, Reporting, and UI.  We can also see that the Middleware component consists of five (sub)components.
