Clicking Project Administration will bring up the following screen when you can review and change key settings.
The Project Code should be no more than 10 characters long and uniqueness must be ensured – no two projects should have the same Project Code.
The Project Name should provide a meaningful title so that users grasp the project purpose without having to navigate to the project to understand it’s “contents”.
The Lead option provides a way for you to specify the project lead. Simply start typing user name and the textbox will show matching users for selection.
The Group option defines the category within which the project resides. See here for three approaches towards organizing projects within Gemini.
The Permissions options should be changed with caution and controls who can perform which actions on the project. It is advisable that Project Administrators do not change this setting and instead delegate permissions management to the Gemini Administrator.
The Type, Priority and Severity Group options define which item type, priority and severity dropdown values are used for the project.
The Workflow option defines the project wide item status and workflow to be used. Note that individual item types (e.g. Bug, Task) may well have their own workflow associated with them. In such cases, item specific workflow will always override the project’s default workflow.
The Screen option controls which item attributes are displayed (or not) on both the main project dashboard and the items page.
The Locked option is used to prevent new items from being added to the project.
The Archived option removes the project from view and thus it is not seen and not searchable. Only Gemini Administrators can unmark a project as Archived thus making it visible and available for use.
