Plans

Every Test Plan consists of:

  • A name.
  • A description.
  • Test Cases that yield PASS or FAIL. 
  • Test Runs that are recorded each time the Test Plan is executed.
  • Attachments such as reference material or data-sets that are applicable to the Test Plan, Cases or Runs.
  • Audit trails that detail each and every change to the Test Plan

Adding a Test Plan

The Name field captures a short, informative description of the Test Plan being created.

The Description field provides an opportunity for users to provide a rich, detailed explanation of the Test Plan, its purpose, scope and other supplementary information.

Note the two additional fields the in above screenshot – these are Custom Fields that have been attached to Test Plans.

Deleting a Test Plan

Clicking on a folder name allows you to delete the Test Plans within that folder.

Define Your Own Test Plan

Use Custom Fields in order for you to totally customize the Test Plan screen. 

When defining a Custom Field for use within Testing, ensure you select the following option on the Custom Field definition.

Gemini Administrators can then define screens for use on Test Plans as follows:

Once you have a screen for use on Test Plans, Gemini Administrators can reference it as follows:

Attaching/Removing Test Cases

Existing Test Cases can be searched and then attached by using the Find feature. Once found, you can select and attach multiple Test Cases.

Alternatively, you can add a new Test Case.

Test Cases can also be removed from the Test Plan.
