Working with Global Groups

Global groups allow users to be assigned group membership. Global groups can then be allocated permissions.

Consider creating recognizable groups organized by functional area:

  • Project Administrators
  • Managers
  • Developers
  • Testers
  • Customers

Once created, you can edit the group and allocate users to the group (members). You can also view any items that are exclusively viewable by this group and see all the permissions allocated to this group.

When permissions are allocated to the group, all members within the group get those permissions.
